The Bengaluru United first team is an energetic, young team driven by the passion and desire to be the best football team in the country. With Head Coach Richard Hood, known for his perfectionist style at the helm, and former Indian player Gouramangi Singh as Assistant Coach providing the perfect foil, the team has been moving from strength to strength. After finishing 3rd in the BDFA Super Division League in 2019-20, FC Bengaluru United put in a stellar show in the Hero I-League 2nd Division. The club was well placed to qualify for the I-League before the COVID-19 pandemic brought a halt to proceedings. The qualifiers were then played in October and though the boys fought hard, qualification eluded them. And in what marks the first of many trophies to come, FC Bengaluru United were recently crowned champions at the Citrus Ventures BDFA Super Division 2021 and the 18th Winners of the George Hoover Rolling Cup.
